iPhone Blogging
Are people blogging from their iPhones? I’ve done some iPhone blogging on other blogs - mostly to a personal, non-public blog for note-taking - but haven’t found it all too useful here.
First, I use the amazing WPhone WordPress plug-in, which essentially is the only reason I even try to blog from my iPhone. The interface is very well thought out and makes navigation a breeze. It’s one of those pieces of software that immediately make you want to donate to the author.

Unfortunately, this blog makes use of custom fields and post-based uploading to function optimally (yes, by that I mean “look nice”). These types of things aren’t accessible from anywhere except the WordPress Admin console, so I’ve limited myself somewhat in my mobile blogging functionality.
I suppose if your blog design allows for shorter, text-only posts, then blogging from an iPhone is probably pretty cool. Even better, if your blog has an “asides” collection along the left or right hand side, posting from an iPhone would be a pretty nice option to have.
However, if short posts look a little strange within your current design or you have no asides concept, then blogging from an iPhone isn’t really going to enter your workflow.

As one of those authors, I’d just like to say “thanks” for trying WPhone out and we’re glad you’re enjoying it. grin

Thanks again Doug! Truly a great job on WPhone.
I know many others feel the same way as I do.
